Hormonal changes related to pregnancy or such changes caused by starting or stopping birth control pills can also cause acne.

Another factor is heredity or genetics; there is evidence to support the fact that the tendency to develop acne can be inherited from parents.

Apart from this certain drugs, including androgens and lithium, are also known to cause acne.

Greasy cosmetics may cause further plugging of the follicles in the skin and hence can precipitate the onset of acne

Chalazions

Aso known as a meibomian gland lipogranuloma, is a cyst in the eyelid that is caused by inflammation of a blocked meibomian gland, usually on the upper eyelid. Chalazions differ from styes (hordeolums) in that they are usually painless apart from the tenderness caused when they swell up, and in size (chalazia tend to be larger than styes). A chalazion may eventually disappear on its own after a few months, though more often than not, some treatment is necessary.
Signs and symptoms

  • Swelling on the eyelid
  • Eyelid tenderness
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Increased tearing
  • Heaviness of the eyelid

Complications
A large chalazion can cause astigmatism due to pressure on the cornea. This will resolve with resolution of the chalazion. Complications including, but not limited to hypopigmentation may occur with corticosteroid injection. The presence of recurring chalazion in the same area sometimes leads to a consideration of sebaceous cell carcinoma

Homoeopathic Approach:
Homoeopathic treatment is strongly recommended in chalazion our medicines help in curing the inflammation leading to dissolution of growth. Homoeopathic medicines also help in preventing recurrent infection thus preventing any further recurrence.
