7. Is it True that Homoeopathic medicines have no side effects?
True:Homoeopathic medicines have no side effects.
The term 'side affects' of a medicine comes from modern pharmacology. These drugs are aimed at one area of the body such as the cardiovascular system, the gut, the kidneys, etc. Though they have a primary area of action, they also affect other areas of the body. If these effects are undesirable, they are known as adverse side effects.
As homoeopathic drugs are selected on the principle of totality these drugs do no cause side effects. But unfortunately this virtue has caused many individuals to believe that homoeopathic medicines can be taken without proper prescription, which can prove to be very hazardous practice. As quoted by Dr J.T Kent (one of the legends of Homoeopathy) in his Material Medica
" After you have seen great many cases you will find you have killed some of them. If our medicines were not powerful enough to kill folks, they would not be powerful enough to cure sick folks. It is well for you to realize that you are dealing with razors when dealing with high potencies. I would rather be in a room with a dozen Negroes slashing with razors than in the hands of an ignorant prescriber of high Potencies. They are means of tremendous harm, as well as tremendous good".
